The Foreign Language Requirement
Students electing a major in English or Creative Writing can meet the Department’s foreign language requirement in one of two ways: 1) satisfactorily completing the second year of language study at the college level (or passing a second-year equivalency test), or 2) satisfactorily completing the first year at the college level (or passing a first-year equivalency test) in two different languages.
