Business Minor

The Business Minor offers students majoring in other disciplines an opportunity to gain a fundamental understanding of business in order to advance their career interests and qualify for employment in business or other organizations.
Minor Requirements:
- MAT-151 Calculus (preferred) (4 cr)
or
MAT-123.1 Applied Mathematics (3 cr) - ECO-271 Principles of Microeconomics (3 cr)
or
POE-263 Introduction to Political Economy (4 cr) - BUS-150 Business Computer Applications (3 cr) or BUS-151 Business Computer Applications, Accelerated (1.5 cr)
- ACC-221 Financial Accounting (3 cr)
- Nine credits from the following options:
- ACC-222 Managerial Accounting (see prerequisite) (3 cr)
- ECO-272 Principles of Macroeconomics (3 cr)
- BUS-100 Introduction to Business (3 cr)
or
BUS-200 Small Business Management (3 cr) - BUS-330 Principles of Finance (see prerequisite) (3 cr)
- BUS-340 International Business (3 cr)
- BUS-360 Principles of Marketing (3 cr)
- BUS-381 Electronic Commerce (3 cr)
- BUS-483 Project Management (3 cr)
- Other upper division business (300-, 400-level) and accounting (300-, 400-level) courses if approved by department director
