Art Major
Major Requirements:
- Studio Courses:
- ART-100 Drawing Composition (3 cr)
- ART-130 Introduction to Design (3 cr)
- ART-330.1 Figure Drawing (3 cr)
- ART-400 Senior Exhibition (3 cr)
- ART-415 Professional Practices in the Visual Arts (2 cr)
- Three credits in ceramics or sculpture.
- Three credits of 2-D media (Painting, Printmaking, Digital Imaging, Web Design, Desktop Publishing, Drawing the Portrait).
- Six credits of advanced studies.
- Art History Courses:
A minimum of six credits is required. At least three must be on the 300-level.- ART-239 Ancient to Medieval (3 cr)
or
ART-240 Renaissance to Modern (3 cr) - Plus one of the following:
- ART-239 Ancient to Medieval (3 cr)
Students seeking teacher certification with an art minor should consult a member of the Education Department.
