Dominique Jordan March 28th, 2017 Qualitative studies Abstract Abstract I am interested in looking at what motivates students to skip class. This topic interest me because there are many different reasons why students choose to skip class. I got the luxury of interviewing a student at the College of Idaho and got a chance to look at why she decided to skip class. During this analysis, I plan to do an online survey to find out some of the reasons why students skip class. My goal number for participants is 150 students from the College of Idaho. I plan to recruit these students via email because it is easier for college students to check their emails.I plan to put the more demographic questions in the front of the survey as more of an introduction and the more the questions that require more thinking at the end of the survey so the participant doesn’t get too overwhelmed.Looking at the data from the participants, it should give a clear indication on what the motives are for students skipping class.
