The College of Idaho's faculty, staff and students' interaction with information technology

AUTHOR: BUS-466 Consumer Behavior
FACULTY: Dr. Marilyn Melchiorre
DEPARTMENT: Business & Accounting

ABSTRACT

A study conducted by the Marketing Consumer Behavior class, focused on information gathered from over 200 C of I participants who responded to a questionnaire about information technology usage. The survey also asked about devices used, training needs, Wi-Fi access, and IT Department contact and customer service. In an effort to get a fair representation of participants, students were randomly selected from classes, and emails were randomly sent to faculty and staff and asked them to complete the online questionnaire. Once the responses were accumulated, data was collected to see the IT usage patterns. The survey also collected data on types of interactions with the IT Department. The study led to a final decision about information that may assist the C of I IT Department operations. This research will provide insight to determine possibilities for future technology training needs, and other IT Department services to assist the YoteFam community.
