Albertson has an innovative calendar. The school year is divided into two terms. The first is a 13-week semester stretching from early September to the December holidays. The second term is a 19-week semester that begins in January and ends in early June. The second term includes a 6-week winter session in January and February.

WINTER SESSION

This unique session allows students to concentrate on research, internships, off campus study and study abroad. Winter session also includes heightened opportunities for interdisciplinary work, independent study, guest speakers and concerts. During winter session many of the departments offer innovative courses not available at other times of the academic year. Some of these courses may be offered only once. In winter 2003, special offerings will include faculty-led study opportunities in China, Cuba and London.
