Counseling Center

College can be a rich time of self-exploration. The Counseling Center works to support students in their journey. Counseling provides a safe and confidential place to talk about your feelings and concerns. The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors will help you explore your personal, relationship and/or psychological struggles. You will be encouraged in decision-making, and offered education and coping skills as you pursue options for change. Counseling is available without charge for ACI students.

Once per month, a psychiatric nurse practitioner is available on campus to treat students who have a referral from ACI counselors.

Talk of suicide is taken very seriously at Albertson College of Idaho. If a student, outside the confidential confines of a counseling session, indicates by actions or statements that they are considering suicide, or if they exhibit self-harming behaviors, they will immediately be referred to the Dean of Students. A trained committee will then determine whether the student will participate in mandatory assessment and four counseling sessions.

In addition, the Counseling Center coordinates and supervises the Peer Counselor program. In this program, students are trained to talk one-on-one with students, and to help with campus educational programming.

The Counseling Center is located in the back of Hendren Hall. Hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm, M-F. To schedule an appointment, stop by the Counseling Center, or contact counselors directly by phone or email:
