Health Services
The nurse provides health care, assists with medical or hospital referrals and educational awareness information. The nurse’s office is located in Hendren Hall. Services include:
- AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases (STD/STI) information.
- Assessment and treatment of minor illness or injury (colds, sore throat, flu, sprains, skin rashes, burns, lacerations, G.I. upsets).
- Birth control information.
- Eating disorders information.
- Flu vaccinations
- Immunization information.
- Prescription medication referral.
- Referral of serious illness or injury (fractures, asthma, bronchitis, diabetes, ulcers).
- Strep test.
- Substance abuse information.
- Unplanned pregnancy referral.
- X-ray and laboratory referral.
Students who have Student Health Insurance can have the college policy deductible waived by obtaining a referral from the campus nurse.
