Study Skills
The Study Skills Center offers a wide variety of learning support to all students at the college and is located in the Student Affairs area of Hendren Hall. Throughout the academic year the center offers a for-credit course on “Effective Studying”. Listed below are many of the areas covered:
- Communications
- Critical thinking
- Learning Style
- Memorization
- Motivation
- Note taking
- Prioritizing
- Stress management
- Test taking
- Textbook reading
- Time management
- Writing
In addition, the center coordinator is available to give one-to-one assistance on any issue affecting academic performance.
The center coordinator is also the coordinator of services for students with disabilities.
