Diversity / International Program

The Diversity/International Affairs office is located on the 2nd floor of the McCain Student Center. This includes a study room with computer access and a student organization office for campus use.

The diversity/international program’s emphasis is placed on retention and recruitment in order to maintain a steady enrollment of minority/international student at Albertson College of Idaho. In 2004-2005 Albertson College of Idaho’s minority/International population was 12% of the total student body population. The department serves as a liaison between minority/international students and parents, the admission office, the financial aid office (scholarships internal & external), campus counselors, study skills personnel, the campus minister, faculty and other departments. The Director of Diversity/International Affairs oversees the minority/international program.

The diversity/international program works to encourage ACI students to reach their academic goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree and to provide inspiration to others in diversity/international communities. All students are welcome.

The student organization A.L.A.S. (Albertson Latino Americano Students) helps students, faculty and campus administrators become involved in community-wide events that promote diversity, greater awareness and broader understanding of other cultures, customs and peoples. These activities include:
